Moisture Surveys are a three-step process during construction where GCI experts aided by Thermal Imaging Infrared devices, moisture meters and optical borescopes and cameras inspect the building interior for moisture at exterior walls, plumbing and HVAC fixtures, slab penetrations and other moisture sensitive areas. The first inspection is conducted before drywall is installed, the second at trim installation and the final just before project completion. An additional inspection can be added at 11 months after occupancy to verify performance before warranties expire.
Moisture surveys can also be used as part of a remediation process to document water accumulation and verify proper repairs. Annual moisture inspections can be utilized to identify problem areas as they develop and before they become big issues.
