WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 22, 2009 -Mississippi’s state capital city just celebrated a significant milestone. Astonishingly, it’s been more than twenty years since a new non-government building has opened in downtown Jackson. Glazing Consultants International Helps Keep Elements at Bay for Luxurious St. Regis Hotel & Residences in Atlanta

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - March 23, 2009 - Around the world, St. Regis hotels and resorts are famed for their luxurious elegance. Now, St. Regis is bringing that luxury to Atlanta with the new St. Regis Hotel & Residences in Buckhead. To help ensure that the building meets and exceeds all expectations, general contractor Bovis Lend Lease turned to Glazing Consultants International (GCI), www.glazingconsultants.com, a leading building envelope consulting firm.

"When you're talking about a luxury property of this nature, leaks and water issues just aren't an option, " says Kevin Fonville, business development specialist at GCI.   "Our job was to make sure that the roof, windows and rest of the building envelope was properly designed and installed in order to prevent problems in the future."

The 26-floor building contains 151 hotel rooms and 50 exclusive residences with sweeping views. GCI made sure the building envelope is protected. For this project, GCI reviewed construction documents, did water infiltration testing on the glazing materials and conducted on-going inspections to ensure that components were being installed properly.
